Preparation

Please ensure that you are following safe distancing guidelines.

Instruction

    1. As a patrol, complete ONE of the following:

Camping

Draw out a mock campsite which can house a patrol of 8 for at least 3 days and 2 nights. The campsite must minimally contain one tent and 5 different camp gadgets.

Outdoor Exploration

Using Google Maps or any similar software, map out a hiking trail consisting of at least 3 checkpoints (excluding start and end point) with your Troop’s school being the start point.

Outdoor Cooking

Propose a menu consisting of 5 different items that can be cooked in an outdoor setting.

Knotting and Pioneering

Decide on 8 essentials knots and lashings for pioneering and create an instructional video on how to tie them.

Variation

To run this at the troop level with all patrols being monitored by the SPL/TL as per patrol level instructions.
