Citizenship & Global Awareness (DL2)

You will need

As a patrol, create a pledge / creed for your patrol. This pledge / creed should represent the qualities of your patrol members as well as the goals of the patrol.
(b)As a patrol, befriend at least 3 other Scouts from different countries and learn about Scouting in each of their respective countries.

2ai. What stood out to you the most regarding the International Scout Exchange Activity as shared by your fellow Scout?

- 2aiii. What can we learn from attending an International Scout Exchange Activity?
- 2bi. Share two similarities and two differences between Scouting in Singapore and Scouting in the country of your new found acquaintance.
- 2bii. In your opinion, what is the importance of befriending a Scout from another country?
- 2biii. Were there any difficulties you faced while making friends online?

Social Development
Scouts will develop a sense of social responsibility and loyalty by creating and upholding a patrol creed. In addition, Scouts will be able to make new friends from another country and exchange each other's culture. This will teach them to be open to differing opinions, social classes and ways of life.
Intellectual Development
Scouts will be able to expand their field of knowledge regarding the creation of a creed. Scouts will also be able to analyse and understand the values behind that their creed entails.
Character Development
Scouts will be able to develop a critical awareness of themselves and their patrol by creating the patrol creed. In addition, Scouts will learn to be open to exchanging their culture with another Scout from overseas.
