Preparation

Please ensure that you are following safe distancing guidelines.

Instruction

1. Complete ONE of the following activities

Scouts can do the following but not limited to:
– Perform over online means like Zoom/Google Meeting (Solo performance: Magic tricks, music, dance, skit, concert, play)
– Create an individual art piece over any platform that they are comfortable with (i.e Paper, Adobe Illustrator, Paint)
– Write an article on the Troop’s Social Media with regards to Scouting (Benefits, Scouting activities, Jamborees, Experiences)
– Problem Solving activity – All On Board, Key Punch, Octopus Doodle, Fire Rod

Scouts can perform/share these activities to either their patrol or troop.

  • 1i. Were there more details to take note of now that you are completing an activity alone?
  • 1ii. What are some of the advantages of working alone? Why?

Variation

As per level 3 but at the troop level with all patrols being monitored by the SPL / TL

Competencies

  • Social Development
    Scouts will be able to showcase their talents to their unit/patrol and using the performance as a way to communicate with their patrol.
  • Intellectual Development
    Scouts will be able to use knowledge of their chosen performance and modify it to solve the problem of a online performance instead of a physical performance.
  • Character Development
    Scouts will be able to gain critical awareness through their performance for their future activities. Scouts will also be able to learn how to be adaptable and resilient in the face of obstacles.
  • Emotional Development
    Scouts will be able to express their thoughts and feelings through their performance.

Explain how the Scout Promise & Law can be a part of your daily life.
(Examples include, but are not limited to videos, posters, photos montage, comic strips or skit, etc.)

2. Let’s Celebrate
Research with another Scout (preferably of another faith) on TWO religious practices or festivals of your respective faiths celebrated in Singapore. Present your findings to your Patrol.
