Preparation

Please ensure that you are following safe distancing guidelines.

Instruction

1. Plan one of the following events:
– Online Gangshow, Talent Night, Concert
– Create an online platform (Blogger, WordPress etc.), to exhibit art pieces produced by the Scout Group.
– Organise a Scouts’ Own including programme planning and selecting or writing prayers or music
– Design and plan materials to promote scouting that can be used for CCA Orientation for Sec 1s
– Promote a charity or its event through a newsletter, brochure, poster, video, website or mini-exhibition
– Design a new, or a new way to conduct a Scout activity
– Design and make a pioneering model to overcome a given challenge given by your Scout Leader

The plan should include at least 2 of the following details:
– Timeline
– Activities
– Logistics needed
– Budget

Reflection

  • 1i. Between leading in your patrol and leading for your Scout Group/Community, what are some of the differences?
  • 1ii. Other than the scale of the event, what else have increased in the planning that is required?
  • 1iii. What are some things that you have learnt from this that can be applied to your future life journey?

Competencies

  • Social Development
    Through this activity, scouts will be able to understand what goes into the different roles within a planning committee that is executing a performance.
  • Intellectual Development
    Scouts will be able to acquire knowledge about planning of a general event and modifying it to planning of a performance.
  • Character Development
    Scouts will be able to learn more about their strengths and weaknesses while planning the different parts of the activity that they have chosen.
  • Emotional Development
    Scouts will be able to plan and lead the event confidently through their proposals they have done.
